Gather your team of four puzzlers and join the fun! Teams will compete to see which team can complete a 300-piece puzzle the fastest. Light refreshments will be available while they last and spectators are welcome as long as they don’t interfere with the competition.

The puzzle race will begin at 12 noon on Friday, November 28. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to give yourselves time to settle in. 

Your team can only have four members. All members must be at least 10 years old. Don’t have a team? Register anyway–if any teams have an empty spot, we will contact teamless registrants to see if they want to fill that spot.

Each team will get to take home the puzzle from the competition, and the first two teams to complete the puzzle will win a $10 Seneca Farms gift card for each team member.

Please review the rules before registering:

1. All teams will receive the same puzzle. Puzzle boxes will be placed face down on the table. Teams are not permitted to flip over the box until the judge begins the competition. Any team that views the puzzle before the judge begins the competition will receive a 5-minute penalty. After 5 minutes, the team may then begin the competition.

2. Teams cannot use any aids of any kind. This includes using cell phones, asking for outside assistance, or any devices.

3. Teams will not distract other teams or approach other teams’ tables.

4. Time Limit: A time limit of 60 minutes will be put on the clock. After 60 minutes, if no team has completed, an additional 10 minutes will be added. After this 10 minutes, if no team has completed the puzzle, the winner will be determined by the number of remaining pieces. The team with the fewest remaining pieces will be declared the winner.

5. Tie breakers: If, after the allotted timeframe, there is a tie, those teams will be given an additional 5 minutes.

6. Prizes: The first two teams to complete will win a prize (a $10 gift card to Seneca Farms for each member of those two teams). All participating teams will win the puzzle.

7. Quiet Environment: Teams are allowed to talk and communicate with one another quietly. Teams should not yell, play music, or distract other teams. Teams who distract others will receive a 3-minute penalty in which they cannot place any pieces.
