Cobblestone Springs invites you to enjoy informal discussions that explore a tapestry of diverse topics with deeply spiritual threads.  This month, Leslie Schwartz returns for another in her popular explorations of Talmudic wisdom.  “Jews have been called ‘The People of the Book.’  Our primary book, the Torah (the Five Books of Moses), is a source of inspiration and connection. It can also be intriguingly and frustratingly incomplete.  Midrash is the attempt to fill in the gaps in the Torah – to provide a deeper ‘backstory’ to the biblical narratives — and while doing so, extract additional meaning and lessons.
