Penn Yan Public Library is pleased to welcome Mary Gilliland for an evening of beautiful and evocative poetry that “aims to charm, alarm, and galvanize her listeners and readers.” With abiding interests in ecology, equality, justice, and peace, Mary has lived and worked around the world, including by developing a walk-in writing service for students, staff, and faculty at Cornell. Her seven collections of poetry include Ember Days, the award-winning The Devil’s Fools and her latest, Within the Shop of the Divine.
