Celebrate the freedom to read with a bingo game designed to push you out of your literary comfort zone and into books that have been labeled “dangerous” over the years! Pick up a set of bingo cards at the library and spend the coming months reading titles that have been banned or challenged, or that deal with commonly-challenged topics; selection guidance is included. Submit your cards anytime (by October 31 at the latest) for one of eight opportunities to win some prizes, including literary swag and great local gift certificates. Consider attending one of our Freedom Readouts during the last week of September to discuss your reading experience! This activity is designed for adults, but younger folks are welcome to participate with whatever supervision the adults in their lives feel appropriate.
