Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month with a Community Screening<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us this September as libraries across the Southern Tier host screening events of the acclaimed PBS documentary Free for All: The Public Library<\/em>, a powerful tribute to the enduring impact of public libraries in America. This award-winning film explores the rich history of the public library, from the 19th-century Free Library Movement to today\u2019s vital conversations around funding, access, book bans, and digital equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Screenings will be held at locations throughout Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Yates Counties. Each event will include a viewing of the film followed by a community discussion. Join us to connect, reflect, and celebrate our public libraries during Library Card Sign-Up Month.<\/p>\n\n\n
