Public libraries’ Friends groups are crucial partners in achieving our community-serving goals, whether through support of specific, short-term projects or through long-term, sustained action!\u00a0 PYPL’s Friends have raised money, installed decorations, hosted parties and programs, and provided the funds for key services.\u00a0 Most notably, our Friends have helped increase the number of Wireless Hotspots we can offer the public; paid to get our lounge furniture completely reupholstered; and supported additions to our Experience Library, among many other items.<\/p>\n
What do we do?<\/strong><\/p>\n
Some of us bake for various events.<\/p>\n
Some of us sort and sell books at the Annual Friends\u2019 Book Sale.<\/p>\n
Some of us sponsor occasional happenings.<\/p>\n
Some of us just send money, the foundation of all we do!<\/p>\n
