PYPL invites you to get to know the books that have been targets of censorship by \u201cadopting\u201d one!\u00a0 All month long, we will have a variety of books on display that have been banned or challenged for various reasons over the years.\u00a0 Pick a favorite or one that\u2019s new to you, and do a little research on why it\u2019s been challenged and what its outcomes have been – we\u2019ll get you started with some resources.\u00a0 Then come to one of our grand finale roundtable conversations on the 28th or 30th (pick the one that works best for you), where you\u2019ll be asked to share what you discovered about your book and learn some more about the history and current status of censorship in the United States! We\u2019ll have some provocative questions about personal liberty and collective rights, leaving everyone with a better appreciation of the freedom to read.\u00a0 Each participant will be entered for a chance to win a banned books-themed gift basket!\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n
